The American Society of Association Executives has announced that Michelle Donohue, Finance & Operations Manager for the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.

Next February, The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA)will proudly partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to define the true spirit of hospitality. This unprecedented effort will collectively raise funds to support vital research for a cure and to provide financial, educational and social services for individuals affected by blood cancer during a month-long fundraising campaign beginning February 1, 2015. The campaign goal is to raise $1,000,000.
The California Hotel & Lodging Association is the recipient of the International Society of Hotel Association Executives (ISHAE) 2014 Award of Excellence for communications. The ISHAE Awards of Excellence were presented last week during at the 28th annual ISHAE Winter Conference in Carefree, Arizona. LA City Council Minimum Wage Hike for Hotel Industry Will Cost Jobs, Taxes & Future, Independent Study ShowsJune 26, 2014
Sacramento (June 26, 2014) -- A Los Angeles City Council proposal to expedite a minimum-wage increase for hotel workers would have serious negative consequences for hotel workers and the city’s economy, according to an independent study released today.
The City Council is considering a measure that would raise the minimum wage to $15.37 per hour for hotel workers in 2015, making it the highest amount with the quickest implementation in the nation, according to the study by PKF Consulting USA.
