CH&LA’s national affiliate, the American Hotel & Lodging Association created the Stars of the Industry awards program more than 40 years ago to recognize outstanding accomplishments in the lodging industry. Today, the concept remains the same — to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry.
CH&LA & CABBI member properties are eligible to nominate one employee from their staff for an HD Supply Housekeeping Award, Outstanding Lodging Employee, Manager of the Year, and General Manager of the Year and the Steven Porter Emerging Hospitality Leader of the Year. In addition, properties may enter their best lodging property programs in five categories of CH&LA's Achievement Awards - good earthkeeping, guest services, community service, special events, and technology innovation. You may submit one entry per category. All entrants must be from CH&LA/CABBI/AH&LA member properties in good standing. Winners will be recognized at the Stars of the Industry and Annual Membership Luncheon on Nov. 27, 2012 at the W San Francisco. This year’s Annual Membership Meeting will honor CH&LA’s 2012 chairperson, Rick Anderson, Casa Tropicana, A Beachfront Inn, and welcome CH&LA’s incoming chairperson, Allan Farwell, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. The meeting also includes the election of officers and directors.
The 2012 awards submissions are now closed. Please check back in September of 2013 to submit your 2013 nominees.
