Women in Lodging Presents - California Travel Trends from the Emerging Markets

Event Details

"California Travel Trends from the Emerging Markets"

Tourism spending in California surpassed the $100 billion mark for the first time in 2011, and the Golden State’s travel industry is poised for continued moderate growth in 2012 and beyond. International tourism is leading the rebound and California’s presence on the global stage is more important than ever with the launch of Brand USA – the new national tourism marketing organization. Leona Reed, Senior Director of International Marketing at Visit California, will speak about Visit California’s global marketing strategy and will highlight traveler trends, research and media consumption habits in the emerging markets of Brazil, India and China. She will share market knowledge on who is coming to our state, what motivates them and what they do when they get here. This special Woman In Lodging Event will include a networking breakfast and you will take away information that will help you make informed decisions on how to attract travelers and make them feel more welcomed at your property.
